PROJECTIONS FOR THIS STOCK:
I do not think that I would buy Nissan stock because what many people do not know is that during the down turn of the economy, Nissan took a big loss in the amount of sales as well. Nissan did slightly rebound as well with the introduction of the JUKE to the American Market. Americans are now looking for environment friendly, fuel sipping vehicles. Unfortunately, Nissan only has one hybrid which is the Nissan Altima Hybrid which gets 33 mpg. Compared to the other automotive companies there are other sedans that get more than 33 mpg without a hybrid, which means saving for the consumer because hybrids are expensive. On the flip side Nissan is coming out with its all electric vehicle the leaf. As good as this car is for the environment, it is not ready for the US Market because it is difficult for the car to be constantly charged. The leaf only gets 100 miles on a charge. With all of this information, I do not see enough growth within the company, they are trying but their will be no noticeable gain if I where to invest in Nissan.

Since todays range 16.73- 16.90, buying Nissan stock would have been a bad idea. Investing in Nissan would have meant around $1 per stock which would have been a major loss for my team. With "Nissan (NSANY) announced last week that it will start shipping engine components from its plant in Decherd, TN, to assembly lines in Japan, -- the first time the company has exported parts from North America back to Japan." (Isidore, Chris)This will help the stock increase in value, since Nissan is acting to fix the deficit in Japan's factories. If we buy the stock at the current price it will be risky, since its value can still decrease before it starts increasing in value again. I would wait another day to see how the stock is doing in he market and if it continues to drop I believe that we should invest in he company. Checking to make sure that nothing has happened to affect stocks, we would want to keep our money safe by making sure that nothing has happened or is happening to the stock that may cause the value of a stock to drop or rise in value.
